So many people avoid wearing black & white stripes. Everyone has different reasons, but one of the common ones I’ve heard is because of the the negative stereotype associated with those stripes. Personally, I don’t have any beef with black & white stripes and I don’t view them as “prison-like”. I actually love stripes and I love pairing the colors black and white together to make an outfit! As long as you wear cute shoes and accessorize correctly then I say go for it!

In this picture, I’m wearing white Halogen booties from Nordstrom and white tassel earrings from Saks Fifth Avenue. The shirt is a draw string crop top from XXI. I normally wouldn’t wear a crop top in the winter, but was really feeling this one today! 🙂

Okay, I know suddenly Turtleneck sweaters are the new thing, but I have to admit I’ve always had a thing for them! Not only are they warm and cute, they’re also great for layering or even just wearing alone. Sometimes, I’ll layer them with a jacket or vest on top but today I decided to pair one with black High Waisted jeans and a black gucci belt. Paired with it are my favorite black Hunter boots and knit headband. Kind of obsessed with knit right now in these below zero temperatures! Brrr!

“Why did you start a blog?” This is a question I’ve been receiving a lot lately. Honestly, my answer usually is, “I don’t know!” I am not a blogger. I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing and I don’t pretend to. However, I do know that I have a lot of thoughts and a lot of clothes and I wanted somewhere to document it all. So if you’re reading along and following me on this journey through my closet then brace yourself. Hopefully I can inspire some outfits, provoke some thoughts, or just give you a good laugh.
